Investment Objective

Lippo Select HK & Mainland Property ETF (the “Fund”) is to provide investment results before fees and expenses that closely correspond to the performance of the Lippo Select HK & Mainland Property Index (the “Index”).

The Fund provides both institutional and retail investors an efficient and cost-effective access to the property sector investments in both Hong Kong and Mainland China. By simply investing in the Fund, an investor could effectively own a basket of Hong Kong and Mainland China property stocks including property developers, property investors as well as REITs.

The Fund is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (stock code: 2824). Through a broker or a financial intermediary (e.g. a bank), a unit of the Fund can be bought or sold just as convenient as trading a stock. For institutional investors, there are facilities available for creation and redemption of the Fund’s units at net asset values on daily basis.

Lippo Investments Management Limited (“LIM”) primarily adopts full-replication strategy for the day-to-day management of the Fund’s assets. The objective of full-replication strategy is to mimic the performance of the Index before fees and expenses.

The Index which is a new milestone in the industry exhibits a high correlation with the Hong Kong and Mainland China physical property market. The Index can thus be considered as a good proxy investment for the board property sector. This initiative is a joint effort between LIM and Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited. A unique feature of the Index is the adoption of fundamental indexing method. The main goal of using fundamental indexing method is to enhance the long term risk adjusted returns. The Fund is more suited to growth-oriented investors who wish to use a single, simple, efficient and cost effective instrument.

^The estimated total expense ratio is the sum of anticipated charges to the Fund including, but not limited to, the Management Fee (is currently charged at the rate of 0.68% per annum of the Net Asset Value of the Fund) and all brokerage commissions, transaction levies, trading fees and stamp duties incurred by the Fund. The Management Fee is a single flat fee paid to cover the Manager’s fee, the Trustee’s fee, the Registrars’ fee, fees and expenses of the service agent, Auditors, legal counsel and other service providers, ordinary out-of-pocket fees, charges and expenses incurred by the Trustee or the Manager, the costs, fees and expenses under the Index Service Agreement. The estimated total expense ratio does not represent the estimated tracking error of the Fund and does not include any extraordinary charges, fees, expense and liabilities of the Fund.
